When we first released the hand-carved boulder opal pieces in this category, the most common remark we received from our collector customers was "how cute are these, can we please see more"! Yes, they are indeed cute, but as to seeing more, unfortunately these pieces are either one-offs or strictly limited in their availability, and once they have been picked-up, cannot be replaced by identical pieces.
What many of our newer customers find hard to believe is that these boulder opal figurines are in fact true examples of the magnificent Australian opal. And when you see these pieces in real life, you will notice that some even exhibit areas of the more commonly associated opal colours. If these items were not the genuine article, no manner of polishing would bring out the beautiful lustre these carvings so naturally display.
