Description
Loose 19mm x 11mm x 8.5mm, 12.8 carat, cushion cut ametrine.
(An even more beautiful stone when seen in real life!)
LGA01000A-12.8ct Ametrine.
Here we present the single ametrine piece currently available for your selection. Ametrine is truly a unique gemstone!
It belongs to the quartz mineral group, but is one stone with the qualities, textures and colours of both amethyst and citrine, and hence the derivation of the "ametrine" name. The ametrine colour is obviously a blend of citrine yellow and amethyst purple. Other names or this eye-catchingly spectacular gemstone include trystine or bolivianite.
The latter name is a clear indication that pretty much the world's principal supply of ametrine originates from Bolivia. Unlike 99% of the loose gemstones we have to show you, there are no ready-made ametrine jewellery pieces to view or purchase.
However, if you live in Melbourne, love your loose gemstones and would like to see more of what we are able to offer, please drop us a line and we will arrange an appointment for a more comprehensive viewing of all the unset gemstones in our collection.
Remember also that each of our pieces, throughout the Borsodi Fine Jewellery website are photographed without any elaborate lighting. We want to show you the real thing, and this can only be done with natural light.
